We finally have quarters!

The United States Mint launched the American Women Quarters™ Program earlier this year. The program celebrates women’s contributions to the development and history of our country by releasing new quarter designs featuring prominent American women.

We ❤️ Luv! In addition to giving out quarters, we offer Heart-to-Heart ❤️ notes. These are the cutest cards to let your ❤️ one know you ❤️ them.

Our housemade strawberry lemonade is available with or without organic mint.

We ❤️ stickers! When you stop by our Dessert Truck, do'n’t forget to ask for one.

Smile + sticker + American quarter = ❤️

We ❤️ when our customers come back to our Dessert Truck to show us their quarter collection.

Stickers + American women’s quarters = ❤️

We ❤️collecting quarter’s with our customers!

The incredible detail on all of the quarter’s is just amazing.

Smiles, brownies, quarter’s and of course listening to salsa music while visiting our Dessert Truck.

This year, the following women will be featured on the reverse side of new 25-cent pieces:

  • Maya Angelou — the celebrated writer, performer, and social activist

  • Dr. Sally Ride — the physicist, astronaut, educator, and first American woman in space

  • Wilma Mankiller — the first woman elected principal chief of the Cherokee Nation

  • Nina Otero-Warren — a leader in New Mexico’s suffrage movement and the first woman superintendent of Santa Fe public schools

  • Anna May Wong — the first Chinese American film star in Hollywood

And in 2023, the Mint will release five additional quarters featuring the following women:

  • Bessie Coleman — the first African-American and first Native American woman pilot

  • Edith Kanakaʻole — the indigenous Hawaiian composer, chanter, Kuma Hula, and custodian of native culture, traditions, and the natural land.

  • Eleanor Roosevelt — the First Lady, author, and civil liberties advocate

  • Jovita Idar — the Mexican-American journalist, activist, teacher, and suffragist

  • Maria Tallchief — America’s first prima ballerina

Finding inspiration in the stories of amazing women.

I never thought I would be a coin collector, but since the beginning of the year, the Luv’s Brownies team and I have been collecting and giving out these quarters to young adults who visit our dessert truck.

Why? Our goal is to inspire and encourage the next generation to dream big.

I didn’t get to where I am without the help of so many others, and I never would have pursued my dreams without having been inspired by women like my favorite poet, Dr. Maya Angelou.

From the time I read her book I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings when I was in college, I’ve kept a copy next to my bed. In my walk-in closet, I have a framed image of her famous poem, And Still I Rise. Seeing those words every day reminds me to get up and do what I have to do, no matter what.

I’m excited to say that the Luv’s Brownies team has inspired quite a few young adults to collect American Women quarters with us. I’m always elated to talk to them about which quarters they have and why they feel inspired by the women featured.

We hope you’ll visit our dessert truck and collect quarters with us! A Visit San Jose destination, Luv’s Brownies is a fixture at the Rose Garden Farmer’s Market and other locations around the South Bay Area.

Thank you for being part of the Luv’s Brownies journey,

❤️ Andrea ❤️
